Interviewed !!

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Ujjwal from Mutiny.in offered to interview us and we gladly answered his questions. Who doesn’t like a little bit of PR, and specially when ‘the’ program is already creating waves all across the world.

I met Ujjwal at BarCampBangalore6 and thats how the relationship between Mutiny.in and CIIE began.

Over a period of two months, Mutiny.in will be doing interviews with the teams and lot of other program related updates will be put up on the blog. So you know exactly which place is brimming with information about iA, except ofcourse for the official CIIE blog.

The interview can be accessed here.

July

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

The month of July looks promising to me for more reasons than one. And I’m uber excited.

Interestingly, there are so many things happening on one day, I’m almost in a fix as to which event to attend and which city to be in.

Starting off, 19th of July happens to be the last day for the iAccelerator 2008 participants.
So I have to be here. I don’t have an option with regards to this.

We are trying to put up a showcase event for the five teams, so that they can give a demo of their product to the potential customers, pitch to the VCs and also get feedback for their products from some of the big people of India Inc.

I’m waiting for this day to come, for, my efforts of three months will be realised.

Proto.in is scheduled to happen on the 18th and 19th of July. Now, Proto was one event which I was looking forward to, but unfortunately the dates are clashing. I might be there for a day and fly back on the 19th morning to Ahmedabad. But, a difficult and tiring proposition, and no options.

And Proto.in tickets can be collected from CIIE. Drop in a mail showing your interest and we’ll figure out a way to deliver them to you.We are the official Promotion partners for Proto.in in Gujarat. Feels awesome !

‘Nother one of those things I’m passionate about, might also be scheduled for one of those days – Barcamp Ahmedabad 2. I wanted this one to happen on the 19th for a simple reason that the iAccelerator teams can then showcase their products to the Campers here. The campers are the target audience and also a bunch of Enthu cutlets, who make things happen.

Again, I’m on the planners and hence again excited about making a second one happen soon in my city. This is what the First one looked like.

All in all, an exciting day. Lets see what I end u p doing on the 19th of July.

Signing off

For the uninitiated, iAccelerator is a 2 Month Incubation Program at CIIE.
It is a varied form of the YCombinator model which is pretty popular in the west.

We decided to do something on the same lines, so as to provide opportunity to the IT techies who have ideas and don’t know how to go about with it. India at the moment needs a lot of Innovation and its high time we start developing Innovations rather than
